CHÂTEAU BRIATTE
SAUTERNES
Château Briatte is situated in the heart of the Sauternes appellation, just west of Preignac. Michel Roudes is the third generation to manage the property. Their eighteen hectares of vineyards are 90% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon Blanc and Gris and 5% Muscadelle.
Yields are typically as low as 8hl/ha and over 50% of the production was lost to frost in 2017. The grand vin is aged in old oak barrels and offers remarkable value. This is an excellent source of drinking Sauternes.
