L’ÉGLANTIÈRE, JEAN DURUP PÈRE ET FILS
MALIGNY
The Durup family, under the directorship of Jean Durup’s son, Jean-Paul, are the largest private landowners in Chablis.
Based in Maligny, they now have some 155 hectares under vine. They have always been great proponents of Chablis made without the influence of oak and everything they produce is vinified and matured in inert tanks.
The resulting wines are always benchmark examples of clean, fresh, pure Chablis. They drink very well young, but older bottles of their Premier Cru wines attest to their excellent potential to improve with age.
